For your chance to represent the club in these friendly comps and trips to big waters turn up to working parties to get your mark as the more marks the more chance you have going on these day and weekend trips.

Here are some of the clubs we have been in contact with:

Yorkley Angling Club

The Yorkley Angling Club have two locations in the forest.

Cannop Pools

The first being the large lakes complex in the Cannop Valley between Parkend and Pigmy Pinetum. These lakes hold good size Carp, Bream and most Coarse species. A number of Forest car parks plus the combined car park / picnic area for the forest cycle way serve these pools. Some disabled access is available via this main car park.

Speech House / 3 Islands Lake

The Speech house lake is the second venue. This is less accessible to the disabled Angler but provides a peaceful setting for the forest Angler keen on Carp and Bream and also match fish species.

Special Rules

No Boilie Bates / Bate balls (home made or shop ready) and no Tiger nuts. Full rules set available, ask at the shop.

Forest of Dean Angling Club

The Forest Angling club boasts several lakes and pits, the largest of which is the Steam Mills venue (near to Winner Garage, Cinderford). This is the club’s premiere match fishing venue and is also home to many large Carp reaching upper 20′s in size. Large Roach are also stocked and quality sizes will also be found for most coarse species.

The Forest club have many lakes and pools catering for a wide range of angling styles and a variety of species habitats. The locations are spread throughout the forest between Plump Hill, Cinderford and the outskirts of Coleford.

For Anglers with some disability, the Steam Mills and Lightmoor Pits have been specially developed to include wheelchair access to many of the fishing pegs.

Special rules

All fish to be returned unharmed. Night fishing by agreement. Full set of rules available from the shop.
